1. Stephens digs two access holes, one near the beginning of the line near the building and the other at the end of the line. Can also run line from inside building to outside manholes (if possible) to eliminate access holes.
2. A steel cable is then threaded through the old sewer line and a hardened steel bursting head is attached to the other end of the cable. The HDPE pipe is attached to the back of the bursting head through a fusing process.
3. A hydraulic system pulls the cable through the existing pipe. The bursting head bursts the old pipe into the surrounding soil pulling the new pipe in the original pathway.
